Description
Filling
DCN offers two methods for filling product into casings for the cook-chill process: a Pump Fill Station (PFS) or a Vertical Form Fill Seal machine.
The PFS can be fitted with a volumetric piston, lobe or sine pump, depending on the product and the accuracy required. A load-cell version of the PFS is available for customers selling bagged product at retail.
The Vertical Form Fill Seal machine is more automated, suits hot or cold filling and uses a volumetric piston pump for accurate fill weights.
Both options can also be used to fill product outside the cook-chill process.
Emptying
After years of development, DCN offers the Model 925 Bag Emptying System, a standalone machine that removes product from cook-chill bags and discharges it into customer tote bins, gastronorm trays or a depositor. Trials with specially designed bags showed that typically 99% of the product is removed from the bag at a rate of 6 bags per minute, reducing waste and delivering significant cost savings.
